The Senn Bulldogs will face off against the Von Steuben Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Senn has four straight victories, Von Steuben has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Senn beat Rickover Naval 13-9.
Audrey Lebovitz was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 16 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Pippa Gerharz, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ericka Ako, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Senn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .526 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Von Steuben might've scored the first runs on Wednesday, but it was Jones who claimed the real prize. The Panthers lost 16-5 to the Eagles.
Skye Rojek made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Hull, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Senn pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. As for Von Steuben, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Von Steuben's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Senn has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. It's a different story for Von Steuben, though, as they've been averaging 11.6 hits. Given Senn's sizable advantage in that area, the Panthers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Senn took their win against Von Steuben in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 14-3 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
