Make it seven blowout wins for the Navajo Prep Eagles this season. They blew past Thoreau 76-46 on the road. Given Navajo Prep's advantage  in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings  (they are ranked 18th, while Thoreau is ranked 97th), the result  on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Navajo Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Xavier Nez, who  scored 17 points along with five  rebounds and four  steals. Nez is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's  now  scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Orion King, who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and 12  rebounds.
 Navajo Prep is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Thoreau, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-8.
 Navajo Prep will head out on the road to  take on  Zuni at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Thoreau, they will look to defend their home court  on Saturday against Kirtland Central at 4:00  p.m. Kirtland Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 204 points over their last three games.
