Poway has gone a perfect 10-0 against San Pasqual recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. Poway's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so San Pasqual's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Poway proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 14) and last Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Del Norte 4-3. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Nighthawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

04/09/25 vs San Marcos | 5 |
04/04/25 vs Roosevelt | 8 |
Mya McGowan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sophia Burmeister was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Alyssa Menges was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Poway hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Del Norte struck out eight times.
Mission Hills hit San Pasqual with a four-run third inning last Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Golden Eagles have suffered against the Grizzlies since May 10, 2016.
San Pasqual also got a good showing from Kayleigh Carby, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
At the plate, San Pasqual saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ally McKinley, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Poway's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for San Pasqual, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Poway beat San Pasqual 5-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
