Douglass waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 73-62 victory over the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Douglass' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Solomon Lewis, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 16 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Jelani Lee, who posted 16 points and five rebounds.

Douglass was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North only posted 11 assists.

Despite the loss, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North still got an impressive performance from Devin Thomas, who went 13 of 29 en route to 31 points and three steals. The game was Thomas' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yusuf Aulakh, who had seven points and ten boards.

Douglass' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-5.

Douglass will take on Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers face off against the Largo Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Largo's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 contests.
