The Walkerville Wildcats will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th.
Last Thursday, Walkerville had to suffer through a rough 77-41 loss at the hands of the Panthers.
Meanwhile, Grand Traverse Academy had to endure an 18-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Traverse City HomeSchool by a score of 36-27 on Thursday. The victory was just what Grand Traverse Academy needed coming off of a 77-40 defeat in their prior match.
Grand Traverse Academy can attribute much of their success to Weston Kinney, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Matthew Kinney, who scored six points along with six steals.
Walkerville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Grand Traverse Academy, their victory ended a 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-15.
