Baseball Recap: Henderson Comes Up Short

Henderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the East Vikings. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jackson Ciarmello was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Henderson's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Henderson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Franks, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Henderson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Henderson will challenge rival Bayard Rustin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East is set to square off against their familiar foe Downingtown West at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
