They enjoyed a cozy 70-51 victory over Brashier Middle College Charter. 70 seems to be a good number for High Point Academy as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
DeAnthony Ross and J'Sean Sanders were among the main playmakers for High Point Academy as the former scored 19 points along with six rebounds and the latter scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Mallory, who scored 11 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Christ Church Episcopal can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They blew past Ware Shoals 92-23 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Christ Church Episcopal has managed all season.
Christ Church Episcopal's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reid Hipp led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. Hipp also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jack Fagan, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
High Point Academy pushed their record up to 12-7 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Christ Church Episcopal, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.
Thursday's match is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: High Point Academy have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 50.3% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Christ Church Episcopal struggles in that department as they've made 42.7% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
