Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lily Outland, who posted nine points and five boards. That's the most points Outland has posted since back in December of 2024. Layla J was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.
Laylianah McBrayer continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Orange County, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 15 boards. Orange County is 11-5 when McBrayer posts eight or more rebounds, but 2-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayla Johnson, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 17 points and six boards.
Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Orange County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.
