While it was all tied up 31-31 at halftime, Long Trail were not quite the Twin Valley Wildcats's equal in the second half on Saturday. Long Trail took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Twin Valley. It was the first time this season that Long Trail let down their fans at home.
Twin Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Brown out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 assists. Noah Dornburgh was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Long Trail's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Twin Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Long Trail will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Rutland at 5:00 p.m. West Rutland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Twin Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Leland & Gray at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leland & Gray is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
