Eastview barely beat Minneapolis Southwest the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lightning were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lakers on Tuesday. The Lightning have beaten the Lakers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lakers has come to flipping the script.

Eastview never let Minneapolis Southwest on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-22, 25-18.

Aliza Carvell paced Eastview's offense, picking up ten kills. Carvell got some help from Josie Richter and her 29 assists.

Eastview's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastview will square off against Woodbury at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Minneapolis Southwest, they will challenge Eden Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
