Taylor came out on top against Finneytown on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 11-1 win. The Yellowjackets not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2024 (when they won 12-2).

Caden Bray looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nick Paff, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Bryce Clayton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Taylor and bumps their season record up to 2-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Finneytown, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Coming up, Taylor is taking a road trip to face off against Clark Montessori at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Finneytown, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against St. Bernard-Elmwood Place at 11:30 a.m.
