The Iraan Braves had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Eldorado by a score of 27-20 on Friday. This was payback for Iraan, who suffered a 42-0 loss the last time these two teams met.
Tristan Griffin got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Cole Bowman was another key contributor, throwing for 213 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80.8% of his passes.
Iraan's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Cade Cravens and his two sacks.
Iraan's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Eldorado, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.
Iraan will head out on the road to face off against McCamey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Eldorado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
