The Chatham Central Bears put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 64-57 win over Seaforth. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Chatham Central was led to victory by Jacob Gilliland and Reid Albright. Gilliland dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Albright dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. The game was Albright's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Luke Gaines was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six assists and three blocks.
Chatham Central pushed their record up to 9-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Seaforth, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chatham Central will square off against South Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Seaforth, they will head out on the road to face off against Hillside at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
