Banks had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 28-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gladstone. Banks was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Gladstone apparently hadn't forgotten their loss from the last time the teams met up.
Banks's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Hayden Vandehey, who passed for 281 yards and 3 touchdowns. Senior Blake Markham was in the mix, too, providing they with 2 touchdowns. This was the first contest for both squads, starting they off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Gladstone a 1-0 record.
Next week, Banks take on Sweet Home at 7:00 PM. As for Gladstone, they will face off against Marshfield.
