The Dolores Bears had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by Sangre de Cristo 56-26 on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dolores in their matchups with Sangre de Cristo: they've now lost five in a row.
Sangre de Cristo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaydra Cordova out in front who scored 9 points along with 10 rebounds and 3 steals. Palma Enriquez was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
Dolores' loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Sangre de Cristo, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Dolores will square off against Center at 2:40 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Center focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. Sangre de Cristo won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Sargent at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
