With a playoff game on the line, the Avonworth Antelopes rose to the challenge  on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   63-56  victory over the Spartans. The  win was familiar territory for Avonworth who now have four in a row.
 Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Kaleb Platz, who  scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Platz has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Ama tening Sow, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on ten points and nine  rebounds.
 Avonworth is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record  this season. As for Montour, their loss dropped their record down to 20-4.
 Avonworth will square off against Hampton at TBD on Saturday. Hampton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 506 points over their last eight matchups. As for Montour, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Allegheny at 8:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Montour's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last 13 matches.
