The South Newton Rebels''s five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 64-6 victory over Bowman Academy. The result was nothing new for South Newton, who have now won three matches by 46 points or more so far this season.
Evyn Krug continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 247 yards and six touchdowns on only 15 carries. Krug is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Lucas Bogucki was another key contributor, rushing for 73 yards and a touchdown.
South Newton's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Bowman Academy, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-7.
South Newton will square off against North Judson-San Pierre at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Judson-San Pierre will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. Bowman Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
