The biggest upset of the week belonged to Southwest Covenant, who defeated 31st ranked Maud, 20-19.
Adding to the longest winning streak in C District 4 (8 Man) this week, Thackerville beat Arkoma 66-22. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Caleb Garcia made the biggest impact on defense this week as Sasakwa topped Webbers Falls. The 6-foot-1 freshman pulled down 2 interceptions and recorded 1 fumble.
Ethann Gates put up the best numbers through the air as the Mustangs fell to Thackerville. He finished with 15 completions for 219 yards and 1 touchdown. Gates' favorite target this week was Tanner Sweeten, who caught 3 passes for 82 yards.
Arkoma's Gates and Sweeten have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Gates has thrown for 1,466 yards this season, while Sweeten has 37 catches for 946 yards. The Vikings' Cody Harjo leads the league in rushing yards with 1,078.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Thackerville takes on second place Sasakwa.
Mark Weatherton's team's Sweeten is only 54 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Wright Christian. He has recorded 37 catches for 946 yards this year.
Two of the top teams in C District 4 (8 Man) will go toe-to-toe this week when Sasakwa takes on Cody Mccage's team. Johnie Loggins' team's offense has scored 380 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Wildcats have allowed only 68 on the year.
Thackerville led the league in scoring this week by notching 66 points on the Mustangs.
