There's no place like home for the Harlem Huskies, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Belvidere North with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 64-50. The win was all the more spectacular given Harlem's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 394th, while Belvidere North is ranked 142nd).
Bo Beehler was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 4 assists. Another player making a difference was Mason Walsh, who scored seven points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Harlem's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Belvidere North, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harlem will take on Guilford at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Guilford will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Belvidere North, they will be playing at home against Belvidere at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
