After a string of six wins, the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Ravenscroft an easy 71-51 win. Virginia Episcopal School was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ravenscroft apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2015.
Despite the loss, Virginia Episcopal School still got an impressive performance from Billy Koudelka, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds. Koudelka has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Vuk Stanic was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Virginia Episcopal School's defeat dropped their record down to 6-1. As for Ravenscroft, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Virginia Episcopal School will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity Episcopal at 1:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Ravenscroft will be home for the holidays to greet South Wake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Wake knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Ravenscroft likes a good challenge.
