Tampa Catholic found their leader in underclassman Ashley Knox, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Khalia Woodley, who scored 11 points along with five assists and three steals.
Tampa Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Winthrop College Prep Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.
Tampa Catholic and Plant will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Azzariah Styles and Knox. As for Winthrop College Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Braden River at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Braden River has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
