There's no place like home for the Columbus Christian Crusaders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They strolled past Medora with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 53-37. This was payback for Columbus Christian, who suffered a 59-53 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Peyton Walden continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Columbus Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Pritchard, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
The victory got Columbus Christian back to even at 6-6. As for Medora, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus Christian will take on Lighthouse Christian Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Lighthouse Christian Academy is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Medora, they will be playing at home against Henryville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Henryville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
