The Union County Fightin' Tigers will stay at home for another game and welcome The Rock Lions at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard on Friday.
While it was all tied up 31-31 at halftime, Union County was not quite Interlachen's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Union County was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to Interlachen. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Union County in their matchups with Interlachen: they've now lost three in a row.
Thomas Williams put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Jayden Jenkins was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, The Rock stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 87-52 victory over Vine Christian Academy at home. The victory was nothing new for The Rock as they're now sitting on five straight.
Union County bumped their record down to 7-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for The Rock, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
