Aubree Simon posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, she produced her best game of the campaign: she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched.

Coming up, Simon and Genoa-Kingston will venture away from home to square off against Rock Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cogs have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since April of 2018, but a win here would be a good start.
