Alexander barely beat Eagle Pass the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Alexander's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Eagle Pass, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alexander is set to square off against their familiar foe Laredo LBJ at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Eagle Pass will challenge rival United at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
