Basketball Game Preview: Bridgehampton Killer Bees vs. Smithtown Christian Knights

After both having extra time off, the Bridgehampton Killer Bees and the Smithtown Christian Knights will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bridgehampton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Bridgehampton is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Shelter Island: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Bridgehampton blew Shelter Island out of the water with a 76-28 final score. That 48 point margin sets a new team best for the Killer Bees this season.

Jai Feaster and Alex Davis were among the main playmakers for Bridgehampton as the former posted 23 points and the latter scored 16 points. Davis' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Eddie Dawson IV was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Smithtown Christian suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 back in December of 2024. They came up short against Bridgehampton, falling 52-30. The Knights were down 39-15 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Bridgehampton pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Smithtown Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.
