Daleville fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Houston County on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Houston County Lions by a score of 12-11. One positive for the Warhawks, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Daleville is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only five runs. As for Houston County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

While Daleville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
