Perhaps the best among them was Beau Hite, who rushed for 59 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 151 yards and one TD on only 13 passes. The dominant performance also gave Hite a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Emerald also got a significant boost from Christopher Dean, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 150 yards.
Laurens' loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Emerald, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
