After flying high against the Hillsboro Trojans last Thursday, the Clay Center Tigers came back down to earth. Clay Center took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hesston on Friday. Clay Center has struggled against Hesston recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Reed Friesen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hesston, scoring 21 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Friesen hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jackson Fry, who scored seven points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Clay Center now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Hesston, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Holcomb is on a five-game streak of home wins, Hesston a 13-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
