After losing to the Ocean View Christian Patriots the last time they met, the Mountain Empire Redhawks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Mountain Empire walked away with a 37-29 win over Ocean View Christian on Wednesday.
Mountain Empire got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maximo Gonzalez out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Andrew Sepulveda, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Mountain Empire's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Ocean View Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
