Softball Recap: Morrilton Gets the Win

Morrilton lost to Bauxite last Saturday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Morrilton Devil Dogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over the Bauxite Miners. That's two games straight that the Devil Dogs have won by just one run.

Morrilton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. Bauxite's loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Coming up, Morrilton will take on Russellville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bauxite will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Morrilton at 5:00 p.m. on April 1st.
