The Beulah Bobcats won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. Their tough 49-24 loss to Billingsley might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Beulah has scored all season.
Derrica Motley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Billingsley, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Motley is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Jones, who scored six points along with 15 rebounds and seven steals.
Beulah has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Billingsley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Beulah will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Dadeville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. Billingsley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
