The Master's Academy Eagles extended their postseason success on Friday against the Father Lopez Green Wave. They enjoyed a cozy 54-36 victory over the Green Wave. The win was nothing new for Master's Academy as they're now sitting on six straight.
Master's Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Devaughn Stallworth, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Stallworth has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Josh Pitts was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Master's Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. As for Father Lopez, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-6.
Master's Academy will take on Florida State University High School at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Florida State University High School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 contests -- so hopefully Master's Academy likes a good challenge. Father Lopez is on the road again on Thursday and plays Marianna at 6:00 p.m. on February 15th. Marianna has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 888 points over their last 12 contests.
