The Tapestry Charter Titans won the last time they faced Mill Springs Academy, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Tapestry Charter walked away with a 59-48 victory over Mill Springs Academy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Tapestry Charter.
Tapestry Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kingston Willingham, who scored 15 points. Willingham hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Makhi Miller, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, Mill Springs Academy saw an underclassman step up: Hampton Hill scored 24 points. That was a full 50% of Mill Springs Academy's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Frommer, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Tapestry Charter's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Mill Springs Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.
Tapestry Charter will take on Atlanta Area School for the Deaf at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mill Springs Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against LaGrange Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. LaGrange Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
