Tri-Valley is a perfect 10-0 against Maysville since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Scotties will host the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Tri-Valley's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while Maysville has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Tri-Valley had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt John Glenn on Wednesday. The Scotties never let the Little Muskies get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Scotties might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Gavin Harrold was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other pitching news, Quinton Hindel looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryan Lamonica, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Brady Kaufman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Tri-Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as John Glenn only posted an OBP of .118.
Meanwhile, Maysville can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game last Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Coshocton.
JAKE DEAL spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. Maysville is 2-1 when DEAL allows one or fewer earned runs, but 1-11 otherwise.
At the plate, Maysville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was KOLTON GIFFORD, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Another was KALE RILEY, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Tri-Valley is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Maysville, their win bumped their record up to 3-12.
Everything went Tri-Valley's way against Maysville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Tri-Valley made off with a 9-0 victory. Do the Scotties have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
