It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Buford Wolves had no problem doing just that on Friday. They skirted past the Blue Devils 28-25. Winning may never get old, but Buford sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Leading Buford to victory were Dylan Raiola and Kj Bolden. Raiola threw for 174 yards and four touchdowns, while Bolden picked up 76 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Raiola is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played.
Despite the loss, Norcross still got an impressive performance from Arrington (aj) Watkins, who rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 234 yards and a touchdown on only 17 passes.
Buford's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Norcross, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.
Buford will head out on the road to face off against Grayson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Grayson: 15.4, Buford: 7.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Norcross does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
