Brylie Ware and Greer Chandler provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Marion. The longest such play in Heart of America this season, the connection resulted in 82 yards.
Ell-Saline was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fifth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Cardinals triumphed over Remington 44-16.
Ware provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Sedgwick beat the Warriors. He completed 21 passes for 303 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 1 yards. Ware's key target this week was Chandler, who caught 11 passes for 160 yards.
Chandler was the best receiver in the league this week as the Cardinals beat Marion. Colby Weber helped Sedgwick's passing attack out by catching 8 balls for 85 yards.
Kyle Kieborz threw for 221 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 8-14 with 1 interceptions.
Kieborz put up the best numbers in passing as Bennington lost to Inman. Kieborz's favorite target this week was Heath Thornhill, who caught 5 passes for 134 yards.
B.J. Glanton made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Bulldogs fell to the Inman Teutons. The 6-foot-2 senior.
Dalton Brandt was the best running back in Heart of America this week. He ran for 205 yards on 26 carries as Sedgwick defeated Grant Thierolf's team.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Inman takes on Trinity. At the moment, Mike Vernon's team is in second, while the Celtics are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Inman Teutons take on Trinity. Inman has allowed 26 points this season, while the Celtics have given up 28. The Inman Teutons allowed 20 points last week as they beat Bennington.
The Broncos lost to Ell-Saline 44-16 last week, the largest margin of any game.
