The Manning Monarchs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. The match between Manning and Georgetown wasn't particularly close, with Manning falling 61-43. Manning was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Georgetown apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Georgetown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jari Ford, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ford has scored all season. Ty Stanley was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four blocks and two steals.
Manning has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Georgetown, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Waccamaw the next time they take the court. Manning will host Waccamaw at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Georgetown will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
