Pennsbury suffered their closest loss yet this season on Thursday. They fell just short of Central Bucks South by a score of 36-33. Pennsbury has struggled against Central Bucks South recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Neshaminy posted their biggest win since December 2, 2023 on Thursday. They blew past Pennridge 58-37. Given Neshaminy's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Pennridge is ranked 489th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Guy Horton, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Currie, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Pennsbury has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Neshaminy, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Pennsbury strolled past Neshaminy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 54-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pennsbury since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
