This season hasn't been kind to the Boys' Home Hilltoppers, who are still winless after their ninth match. They had to suffer through a rough 84-39 loss at the hands of Grace Christian. Boys' Home was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-19.
Grace Christian was led to victory by Davis Reid and Justin Hain. Reid dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 assists, while Hain scored 38 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hain has scored all season. Patrick Wells was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Boys' Home's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Grace Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boys' Home will square off against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lewisburg Baptist Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Hilltoppers in their respective states (the Lions are ranked 88th in West Virginia, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 440th in Virginia). As for Grace Christian, they will head out on the road to take on the Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stuart Hall is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
