The Panther Valley Panthers will take on the Nativity BVM Green Wave at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nativity BVM took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Panther Valley, who comes in off a win.
Panther Valley lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pine Grove, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Panthers put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 14-1 victory on Wednesday. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Panther Valley let Logan Fisher and Gavin Yuricheck run wild. Fisher scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Yuricheck went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three runs gave Fisher a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Connor Penberth, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Panther Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 20 runs the game before, Nativity BVM was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They came up short against Shenandoah Valley, falling 11-1.
Nativity BVM saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was STEPHEN KARINCH, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.
Nativity BVM's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Panther Valley, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4.
Nativity BVM's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Panther Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Nativity BVM, though, as they've been averaging only 2.8 strikeouts. Will Panther Valley keep running through batters, or will the Green Wave buck the trend?
