The Glen Allen Jaguars were the 47-33 winner over the Massaponax Panthers when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Glen Allen fell 43-33 to Massaponax on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Glen Allen has scored all season.
Massaponax was led to victory by Takiera Ramey and Jada Johnson. Ramey scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Johnson scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The match was Ramey's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Price, who scored two points along with nine rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Glen Allen and nudges their season record down to 6-3. As for Massaponax, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Glen Allen will take on Freeman at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Massaponax, they will head out on the road to face off against North Stafford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully North Stafford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
