After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carthage, Lamar was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Liberal Bulldogs a 12-0 shutout. Considering the Tigers have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lamar pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Liberal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Lamar wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Mt. Vernon on the 12th. Liberal has also already played their next match (against Girard), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
