The Franklin Central Flashes entered their tilt with the Borden Braves with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 51-23 stomp they got on the road against Borden.
Franklin Central's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lily Graves, who scored 14 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Graves has scored at least 25% of Franklin Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlee Baker, who scored nine points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
The victory got Franklin Central back to even at 7-7. As for Borden, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-2.
Franklin Central is on the road again on January 6th and play against Roncalli at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Roncalli focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. Borden and Salem will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Salem will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 274th, while Borden is ranked 32nd).
