The Egyptian Pharaohs lost against the Century Centurions back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Egyptian was dealt a 67-31 loss at the hands of the Centurions. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Egyptian in their matchups with the Centurions: they've now lost six in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Egyptian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brandon Plott. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Damarion Clark, who scored eight points.
Egyptian has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season. As for Century, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Egyptian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Tornadoes at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Averaging 55.72 points so far this season, Zeigler-Royalton's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so the Pharaohs better be ready for a challenge. As for Century, they will be playing at home against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hardin County is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
