Baseball Recap: Atlantic Christian Has No Trouble Against Katz Yeshiva

Atlantic Christian got themselves on the board against Katz Yeshiva on Tuesday, but Katz Yeshiva never followed suit. They blew past the Storm 10-0. Considering the Sharks have won eight contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on David Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Atlantic Christian is undefeated when Gonzalez posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Reily Campusano, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Atlantic Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. Katz Yeshiva now has a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlantic Christian will venture away from home to square off against Palm Beach Gardens at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Katz Yeshiva, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Highlands Christian at 6:30 p.m. on April 8.
