The Dominion Academy Sabers waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They took down Christian Academy 43-25. Dominion Academy pushed the score to 34-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dominion Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cecilia Canida, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Tessa Merkel, who scored 15 points along with six steals.
Dominion Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
