Morro Bay took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pioneer Valley. Morro Bay has struggled against Pioneer Valley recently, as their matchup on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Morro Bay lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Justin Campbell, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Cords, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Inderveer Toor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pioneer Valley, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Toor has scored at least a third of Pioneer Valley's points. Elias Giddings was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Morro Bay has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Pioneer Valley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.
