Palmview and Rowe are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Lobos will take on the Warriors on Saturday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Palmview is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They skirted past Flour Bluff 6-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lobos.

Osi Lopez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Palmview let Javier Garza and Joseph Martinez run wild. Garza went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Martinez went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Jaden Gutierrez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.
Meanwhile, Rowe had just enough and edged out Rivera 2-1 on Friday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Rowe also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Alex Leon gave up only one earned run on five hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Rowe's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tommy Visney, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. That's the most hits Visney has posted since back in March.
Palmview's victory bumped their record up to 24-7-2. As for Rowe, their win bumped their record up to 22-10-2.
Palmview's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's contest. The Lobos have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Rowe, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Palmview continue to outrun the ball?
Palmview suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Rowe in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Lobos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
