Perspectives Leadership/Technology posted their biggest win since November 30, 2023 on Thursday. They put the hurt on Brooks with a sharp 66-46 victory. Given Perspectives Leadership/Technology's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while Brooks is ranked 490th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Tim Handy, who scored 15 points along with six assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was Kendall Holliday, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Kenwood has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Trier on Monday.
Perspectives Leadership/Technology pushed their record up to 8-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Kenwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.
Perspectives Leadership/Technology lost to Kenwood on the road by a decisive 56-42 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Perspectives Leadership/Technology avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
